Job Role:
We are seeking an experienced professional to take on the role of Database Administrator in our Managed Services team. The ideal candidate should have a strong hands-on experience with SQL Server, My SQL & Postgres databases. This is a key role in managing databases & database servers in various lifecycle environments including mission critical production systems.
Key responsibilities of SQL Database Administrator include:
- Managing production operations of customers Databases, including the resolution of incidents and problems.
- Installing, Maintaining & Administering SQL Databases/Servers.
- Performing configurations and upgrades of the database and software to new releases.
- Monitor SQL Databases performance & Health on all environments.
- Create and maintain database instances, schemas, tables, indexes, triggers and views.
- Implement and maintain database security measures, such as user access controls and data encryption.
- Providing recommendations to development team on low performing SQL queries.
- Performing database deployments, addressing Customer Data loading & Data restore requests.
- Leading the relationship with key stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, and other third-party service providers.
- Developing and implementing processes and procedures to ensure the reliability, security and high level of availability.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Candidate should have at least 7-8 years of relevant experience on SQL Server, My SQL, Postgres.
- Strong knowledge and experience of Database design and architecture.
- Proficient in SQL scripting and have good approach for query optimization.
- Good understanding of tiered architecture and Data Access Layer with ODBC, JDBC, Sql Client.
